Something Wicked Caused All This Pestilence

Hi There!

I'm back with some new disclosure buttons and a disclosure page that you can get to by clicking on any of the disclusure buttons at the top or bottom of the page. Now thats over with...

I have, without a doubt, one of my favorite and most unique polish collections to date for you today. I'm talking of none other than the Wicked Polish Pestilence Collection. Are you excited yet? Cause I am!

When Rylee contacted me about reviewing her lacquers I jumped at the chance. I have been trying to get my hands on some of these for quite some time and was eager to get these all on my nails and play with them!! Because there have been a lot of straight swatches of these colors already I wanted to do something a bit more creative for my post, so you'll see some matte topcoat, some gradients and even a saran wrap manicure. Lets get started, shall we?

First up is my dark horse of the collection, Cardiac Arrest. Let me tell you, I did not want to take this one off!! Lets let the photos speak for themselves...

What do you think? Can you understand why I loved this so much? It dries a little bumpy, but a coat of Gelous and a topper of Seche Vite and it was glass smooth and shiny!

For the photos above I used a subtle gradient of Cult Nails Evil Queen and Cult Nails Quench to show a bit more depth in the colors. I used only ONE COAT of Wicked Polish Cardiac Arrest!!

Next up is a more simple, but still gorgeous polish, Priapism.

Look at that gorgeous shimmer and the little surprise duochrome hexes add just the right amount of interest without distracting from the simplicity of this lacquer.

These photos are two coats of Essie Butler Please topped with two coats of Priapism and finished with topcoat.

The next color I have for you I just had to do matte. The idea of a frosty Frostbite was just too much to pass up and I am so glad I did.

I really love how the matte topcoat makes it all look like its frozen.

Above photos are two coats of Cult Nails Let My Fly (The PERFECT undies for this polish IMHO) topped with one coat of Frostbite and Essie Matte Me Crazy topcoat.

Black Lung is the only one of this collection I wasn't crazy about. I did like it, but I probably wouldn't have bought it myself. That said, there is a lot to like about this color!

Lots of scattered holo glitter and black hexes in a shimmery black base make this very interesting to look at even though it is mostly black.

These photos are three coats of Black Lung on its own topped with 2 coats of Gelous as topcoat. It definitely needed to extra topper as it dries with a gritty feel.

I was originally going to do Pink Eye over another gradient but then I had the idea to do it over a saran wrap mani and I'm glad I did! I really love how this turned out.

This polish is so interesting to look at and I love the huge gold hexes even if they were a bit of a pain to get out of the bottle. I really just love everything about this.

I started with two coats of Lime Crime Parfait day followed by a saran wrap dabbed on Wet n Wild Pom Pom Kelly and then topped with one coat of Pink Eye and a thick topcoat. I can't wait to see what this looks like over other colors. Maybe a darker pink?

Next up I have the polish that cause all this to happen. Hematoma was the color I was trying to get when Rylee contacted me to do this review and WOW WOW WOW!! I am NOT disappointed!!

I decided to do this one over another gradient. <3

Unfortunately you really cant see the purple in the gradient in these photos, but I promise it was there.

I love Hematoma so much and I can really see myself wearing this one quite a lot!!

I saved what I think are the favorite two of the collection for last and I did both of them over a gradient.

First up is Gangrene.. It really speaks for itself...

Do I really need to say anything? This is so fun and absolutely stunning. I will be wearing this all summer for sure!!

I started with a base of Cult Nails Tempest and then did a gradient of Tempest, Lime Crime Pastelchio and Lime Crime Crema Limon. I topped with one coat of Gangrene then sealed it all in with a coat of Gelous and a thick coat of Seche Vite.

Last but most certainly not least is without a doubt, the general favorite of the bunch, Pox!

Love love love. I really have no more to say. Its absolutely beautiful and I can think of so many fun things to do with it.

Le sigh.

For Pox I started with two coats of Cult Nails Tempest then did a gradient of Sally Hansen Pretty In Hot Pink, China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy and Cult Nails Tempest. I then did one coat of Pox and finished with Gelous and Seche Vite.

So what do you think of this collection? Do you love it? I really really do! There are some great summer colors here!

You can find all these lacquers at the Wicked Polish Shop when she restocks later this month. If you are international, you can find Wicked Polish at Harlow and Co. when they are back in stock.
