Igniting Radioactive Clouds

Hi Again Storm Chasers!

Sorry I haven't posted this week! I had a post scheduled for Monday and then I got a terrible migraine and I've been nursing myself back to health since then. I have a lot of great stuff in my folders for you all so hopefully nothing else happens and I can get a bunch of posts up for you all.

Today I have some brand new nail art for you all. I started out with China Glaze Igniting Love from the Cirque du Soleil collection and then I added some clouds. I think it turned out pretty good.

I took a lot of photos of these babies cause they were just so pretty, so I warn you that the rest of this post is pretty photo heavy!

Ivy Growing Wild

Hi Storm Chasers!

I'm exhausted because I haven't been sleeping well, so I just have a quick swatch post of Wet N' Wild Megalast in Poison Ivy for you today. I picked this color up around Halloween because I really love the Megalast brushes (they're the super wide and flat ones) and the collection was all deep shimmery vampy colors, which were perfect for fall. I didn't have a blog back then, so you're getting the photos now!

I love how the edges of my nails look blackened but you can still really see the green shimmer pop on the rest of the nail. I don't have anything else like this one in my collection. Want more photos? Click read more...

Don't Poke The Bear!

GO BRUINS!!

Hey there!

I told you I'd be back today. ;) I have a very special bit of nail art for you all today. I'll be the first to admit that sports are not usually my thing. However, the Boston Bruins are the exception to that rule. I loooooove hockey so much. I grew up with it. My Father coached, my brother played and my first job was at a skating rink. I follow the Bruins religiously and I try to watch every game.

The lockout sucked and I'm so glad to have my beloved hockey back!! I just had to do a special manicure for it, so here it is! I will warn you that this post is very photo heavy!

Wooo hoooo!! I took inspiration from all over the place. The thumb is pretty obvious, but I'll explain the rest as I go along...

Betty Goes Punk In Houston

Hi Again!

Wow, another post so soon?! Well, I've been editing photos all weekend so I have plenty of material to go around. :) I have a bunch of indies to review on the way, so I thought I'd get some extra posts up this week to clear the way for the new stuff.

Today I have a gorgeous Jelly Sandwich to show you. I've been looking for OPI Houston, We Have A Purple for months now, and I finally found it, of all places, in the clearance bin at my local Ulta! I was way too excited and knew I had to do a special jelly sandwich for this. Here's what I came up with...

I loooooove how this came out!!! I've had Pretty and Polished Punk'd Up Betty for a while now, but haven't used it yet. I knew this is exactly what I wanted to use it for. The colors and sized of glitters worked perfectly in this sandwich. :)

Somewhere Over the Rainbow Watermarble

Hi Again Storm Chasers!

Sorry it's been so long, I'm still getting used to this blogging thing.

Today I have for you an older nail art that I did but haven't posted here yet. I had wanted to do a watermarble using black and clear over a gradient, but when I got a whole bunch of stripers from the Dollar Tree I started thinking rainbow stripes instead. The following is the result of a quite time consuming mani which was totally worth it! I didn't want to take this one off!

OMG!! I love how this came out so much!! Please read more after the break!

Dodgy Red Red Rockets

Hi there Storm Chasers!

Today I have an older mani for you. I already posted this on my Instagram, so most of your have probably seen it (there will be more of these, these are things I posted on IG not thinking that I should wait til I had a blog post up, so I'm sorry if you have to see them more than once!)

There's not much to say about this, I was just playing around with the colors and this is what I came up with. :)

My pointer, middle and pinky are a base of Butter London Dodgy Barnett with a glitter gradient of Orly Rockets Red Glare and my thumb and ring fingers are Wet n' Wild Wild Shine in Red Red.

More photos after the jump.

Neon Polkadots In A Candy Land

Hi All!

It feels like a while, although its only been a few days since my last post (and it was a double too) but this week had been crazy so it feels like it was much longer. I'm fighting off sleep to stay awake so I can work today. Hopefully the weekend will bring some much needed rest and lots of photo editing. :D

I have a bright one for you today! I was in the mood for something seriously bright and contrasting so I immediately grabbed for my brand new bottle of Jindie Nails Candyland. I didn't want just a straight up swatch so I pulled out a contrasting black (Cult Nails Nevermore as usual) and my China Glaze Summer Neons and got to work. Below is the result.

More Glittery Sunsets and ... Skittles? Hmm...

Aaaaaand I'm Back!

I have the final two colors from the Glitter Daze Sunset In The City Collection for you tonight as well as a little mani I made with the whole collection. Since I already talked a lot about these in my last post I'm going to get right to it.

First up is the fourth lacquer in the collection Nightfall in New York City. Another beautiful polish. Lets get right to to photos shall we?

This one has blues and purples and a slight tint of teal to my eyes. Keep reading for more photos!

Glittering Sunset Over The City

Hi there Storm Chasers!

I'm back with my first ever polish sent for review! Im SO EXCITED! I was contacted by Sana of Glitter Daze and asked if I would be willing to review her new Sunset In The City Collection. Of course I said YES!

I received the cutest little mini bottles in the mail on Thursday and spent the batter half of Saturday swatching and photographing these beauties. I have about a million photographs so if you have a slow connection, beware, this is a very photo heavy post. I was originally going to post all 5 colors for you all today but there are just too many photos. I have the first 3 in this post and then I'll have the rest for you either tonight or tomorrow morning.

On to the polish!

These lacquers are all topcoat style polish, and should be worn over another color. I swatched them all exactly the same way. My thumb, pointer and middle fingers have a base of 2 coats Milani Black Swift, which is a black creme, and my ring and pink have a base of 2 coats Cult Nails Time Traveler, which is a navy blue creme. I'm not even sure you can tell a difference in the photos, but in person the blue does give it a bit of a different look.

First up is Sundown In Seattle, a beautiful copper, red and pink multichrome with holo particles that sometimes even look a little linear. It really speaks for itself...

Just look at how beautiful that is!!! Ahhhh! You know you want to click below to read more!

Totally Swooning Over Nail Sauce

Hi There Storm Chasers!

I am SO sorry that it has been so long. I completely underestimated the amount of time involved in running a blog by ones self and got really backed up during the holidays. The good news is that I've been doing my nails and taking photos, so I have lots of goodies stored up for you now.

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years and I hope to have a top list of polish up sometime in the next couple weeks. I know most people have already done this, but hey, I never said I was like most people. ;)

Today I have an absolutely beautiful color to show you from the Indie Brand Nail Sauce which is quickly becoming one of my favorite indie brands. I purchased 3 shades from the creator of the Nail Sauce brand @feliifel during the Instagram #savebruce movement. If you don't know what that is, you can check out the #savebruce tag on Instagram for the whole story.

The color I have for you today is a stunning shade from the new So Clueless collection, which is based on the movie Clueless. I present, Totally Swooning:

Isn't it just sparkly and completely gorgeous?!
