Messy Jessi | Popped Art Collection

It's almost Friday! I can't wait, I feel like this week has gone on forever! I'm so happy to have a three day weekend!

Right now though, I have for you all a beautiful collection from Jessica over at Messy Jessi! I love the Messy Jessi brand and the polishes Jessica always comes up with so I am so happy to see her back at making lacquer and releasing collections. This collection is four crelly based lacquers and is called the Popped Art collection. Do they remind you of anything? I think this is just one of the coolest ideas for a polish collection!

Lets jump right into the swatches!

First up is Blueberry Pop.

How cute is this? Blueberry Pop is a white crelly base loaded with tons of green, blue, red and yellow glitters in different shapes and sizes. It is so bright and cheerful!

I started with two coats of my favorite base for while crelly lacquers, Jolie Polish White Crelly. I added two coats of Blueberry Pop over that and finished with my Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat.

The formula on Blueberry Pop was great and there is so much glitter in it! I definitely did not need to turn the bottle over or fish for anything. Love it!

This next one is a bright pink lacquer called Wild Strawberry Pop.

Wild Strawberry Pop is a bright pink crelly lacquer (a little closer to a jelly than the others) with pink and green glitters throughout. So cute!

These swatches show 3 coats of Wild Strawberry Pop alone plus my Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat. The formula was sheer, but good and it looks great on the nail!

This really does remind me of wild strawberries. :)

Next up is the very different Strawberry Pop.

Strawberry Pop is a white based crelly lacquer filled to the brim with gree, yellow, pink and red glitters in squares and hexes.

I used two coats of Strawberry Pop over a base of Joelie Polish White Crelly for this look. I topped the manicure off with a coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat to smooth it all out and make it shiny.

Once again, the formula on this was great and I didn't have to dig for any of the glitters. I love the color combo of this lacquer.

Finally we have my favorite of this collection, which is Cherry Pop.

This simple lacquer is a stunner. Cherry Pop is a bright bright pink crelly, almost creme base with a good helping of darker pink micro hexes.

These photos show three coats of Cherry Pop alone on my nails and topped with Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat. Despite my love of the color, this lacquer was a little streaky and thick. I added some thinner after a couple nails and it was much better.

I just love how this looks on me. I'm looking forward to coming up with some nail art for it!

The Messy Jessi Popped Art Collection is available for preorder now through May 26th, with the collection shipping June 6th. Preorder pricing for this collection is $25 including shipping to the US for the duration of the preorder. (Retail will be $40)

You can purchase this collection and other Messy Jessi lacquers in their shop. Make sure to follow Messy Jessi and Jessica on social media to keep up to date on collections, releases, sales and swatches!

I really love this collection and love the inspiration behind it, I think Jessica did a great job with these! I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

xoxo

  2. Thanks for the heads up about the sticky factor of Cherry Pop! I will make sure to sort that out for the release. As always, your images are stunning and make my polish look its absolute finest. :)
