Born Pretty Store | 80's Style Glow Decals

I have some crazy nail art to share with you all today!

I was sent these great glow full nail wraps by the Born Pretty Store and I decided to do something a little different with them. Since my nails tend to be on the wider side and wraps tend to be made for more narrow nails, sometimes I have trouble with them. I decided to overcome this issue by cutting up the decals and placing them in patterns on my nails. The set I used for this manicure can be found here.

Here is my final result after cutting and placing the wraps.

I started with a good basecoat then applied the blue polkadot wraps to my pinkie, ring, index and thumb. I then took the wraps with the black and white stripes and cutting them diagonally, created the black and white striped corners on my pinkie, ring and index fingers.

Firmoo.com Review and Inspired Nail Art

I have a bit of a different review for you tonight. I was approached by a representative from Firmoo.com a while back and asked if I would like to review a pair of their glasses or sunglasses. As someone who wears prescription lenses on a daily basis, the opportunity to try a new company and get to review a new pair of glasses was too great to pass up!

So I have a pair of sunglasses to show you today and some nail art to tie it all together with the theme of my blog.

Let me start off by saying that the rep from Firmoo who contacted me was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. She walked me through the ordering process briefly and then told me if I had any questions to let her know. When I was ordering I noticed that they had a sunglasses option, and since I have been looking for a new pair I thought that was the best option for me. The rep helped me make sure the ordering process went very smoothly and soon I had an e-mail letting me know my order was complete!

I got updates of what was happening with my glasses while I waited. They let me know when they were being processed and then when they shipped out. Overall I would say the wait time was pretty fair for a pair of custom lenses and frames. When I got the package and opened it there was this adorable hard case.

Inside were my glasses! SQUEE!! They are SO stinkin cute!

I chose a pair of plastic frames that are a magenta pink on the top and then fade into a tortoiseshell pattern on the bottom. They're just perfect for me.

Nvr Enuff Polish | Nick of Time

I know it has been a while! My day job is moving and we've been crazy busy packing everything up and going through old folders and drawers and what not, so my free time has been greatly diminished.

Today though, I have for you, another collection from my besties over at Nvr Enuff Polish! This three lacquer collection is inspired by Nick at Nite and is called the Nick of Time collection. Shall we get started?

First up is my favorite of the three, Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Are You Afraid of the Dark? is a bright candy apple red jelly base overflowing with red and gold metallic glitters and a holo shimmer.

Born Pretty Store | Gunmetal Spikes

I am so so happy with the nail art I have for you today!

This post has been a long time coming. I have wanted spikes to do a manicure for so long, but then when I finally got them in the mail I had NO IDEAS! I really didn't know how to use them in a manicure! So I've been thinking for a while and I finally came up with a design that I think worked out really well.

The spikes that I used for this nail art are from Born Pretty Store and are much smaller than any that I've seen before. I really love how small they are cause they seem more practical for a manicure that way... well... as practical as spikes on your nails can be! haha!

How about we see some photos?

EEEEEEK! I love them more every time I see them!

I started with a base of the absolutely gorgeous Dior Marilyn, a red jelly with such a subtle silver shimmer that you almost don't know its there.

China Glaze | Pop Top and a Nail Art Contest!

Hello there!

I am so happy to share today's blog post with you. For as long as I have been obsessing over nail polish, my favorite major brand has been China Glaze. Their collections are creative and their summer neon shades are always to die for. My first full collection lemming and hunt was for their 2012 Summer Neons.

Well today I have for you my first official China Glaze review. I have the new Pop Top collection that just hit the shelves for August consisting of six glitter toppers and two classic shades. I believe most of these if not all have been released before, but as part of other collections. I want to jump right in with my favorite of the six glitters.

Here is Your Present Required.

Your Present Required is a clear base packed with multicolor hex glitter in different sizes including large matte white and teeny tiny matte white and everything in between.
