Doctor Lacquer | Something Spacial: Stars

I have the second half of the Doctor Lacquer Something Spacial collection coming your way today. this is the Star portion. The Star collection consists of four tri-thermal lacquers with varying decrees of separation between them. They really speak for themselves so I am just going to get right into it.

First up is the bright and cheery Antares.

Antares is a pale yellow to peach to orange tri thermal with a strong gold shimmer throughout. Because the colors blend so well into a gradient it can be hard to see where one color stops and another begins, but it does make such a gorgeous gradient on the nail.

I used four coats of Antares for these images though if I wasn't swatching I could probably have gotten away with less. The formula was thin but smooth and painted easily. I finished with my favorite top coat.

Next up is one of the more obvious tri-thermals. this is Fomalhaut.

Fomalhaut is a purple when warm to gold when cool to olive green when cold thermal lacquer with some more of that strong gold shimmer. Absolutely so much fun! I don't think this one compliments my skintone well but it would look amazing on someone who isn't ghostly pale.

Again, I used four coats of Fomalhaut for these images and topped with my favorite fastdry topcoat. The formula was thin and easy to work with and I had no problems. I do want to note that I almost didn't do the fourth coat, but I figured it couldn't hurt, and the layers dried so quickly that I didn't mind doing a fourth.

Next up is the beautiful Vega.

Vega is a magenta leaning sheer purple to violet to dark purple tri thermal with a ton of blue shimmer. I had the most trouble getting the transition photos with this lacquer. My apartment was cold and it just did not want to warm up. You can see the lighter color closest to my cuticle.

I used three coats for these swatches and added a fastdry topcoat to finish off the look. I love this color and wore it for a couple days after swatching cause I didn't want to take it off.

Last up is my absolute favorite of the collection. Hands. Down. Here is Betelgeuse.

Oh. My. God. Can you stand it? First of all, can we talk about the name? Perfection. And the fact that it made those awesome gradient stripes on my nails on its own as them warmed up? Amazing.

I love love love this polish.

Truth? I was so busy admiring this lacquer that I forgot how many coats I did. I think it was three. but it could have been two. The formula was great. Everything about this polish is great. Haha.

So what do you think? Personally I think these are all so beautiful but for must haves I would say Fomalhaut for its uniqueness and Betelgeuse for pure brilliance.

You can find these and other Doctor Lacquer polishes in their shop either on Storenvy or Etsy. Don't forget to follow Angelyn on social media so you can keep up to date with collections, releases, sales and restocks as well as see other swatches of her lacquers!
