Whats Tha? Narl Art? Matte vs. Shiny!

I'm trying to fit in some posts while I catch up on orders in my shop, but I am a little all over the place so SORRY!! After this month I should be back on a normal schedule and I plan on posting 3 days a week, they may vary some weeks, but should be pretty consistent. I also have some exciting things coming for you! I'm working with some other IGers to start weekly nail art challenge and I'll definitely have more art in general coming your way! I updated my new header and I even have an official logo now. You can see it up in the header, its the twister on the left side. I also have a new nail shape to reveal. If you follow me in Instagram I already showed a sneak peek of it a couple nights ago.

Today's art was inspired by a polish. When I put on Bliss Polish's Jax I knew I needed to do some sort of Matte vs. Shiny nail art with it and I actually did this manicure back when I reviewed Jax, but I never posted it.  So you'll see square nails here, but they are from a while back. Shall we see the art?

I started this manicure with two super perfect coats of Bliss Polish Jax. This polish is seriously like butter. It practically paints itself. I am completely in love.

Jolie Polish - The Heart Collection

This post is a little late due to me being swamped with pillow orders! I know, it is a good thing, but it definitely takes up a lot of my time. I've started scheduling nail time so I remember that I have other obligations as well!

I have another beautiful collection for you today from Jolie Polish. When Bory told me she was going to send me some more pretties to review I was so excited because her polish is so gorgeous and her white crelly based glitters are the perfect consistency. This collection has 3! Shall we get right to it?

First up is one of the white crelly glitters, this is Ace of Love.

How pretty is the contrast of the bold red and black against this soft white base? LOVE!

Valentine's Day - Nekkid Hearts

Did I make it?!?! Whew!

I wanted to have this post up much earlier, but, well... life happened and I didn't even get home until almost 10 PM. I've spent the last hour and a half editing photos for you all so you can see this Valentine's Day manicure before the day is over! No need to thank me, I'm happy to do it. (haha)

This look is completely inspired by the amazing Sarah from Chalkboard Nails. I saved an image of the manicure she did here a long time ago and I have been meaning to try something similar ever since. Lets get to the photos! (And I warn you, I had a very hard time choosing images, so there are a lot!)

I am so in love with this look! <3

Valentines Gradient Nails

Hi there all! How is your week going? I've been super busy but I wanted to take the time to try and get more on track with my posting. How am I doing?

Today I have another old mani for you that I found while organizing files on my computer (there will be a few of these coming in the next weeks). I did this gradient as a base for Wicked Polish Cardiac Arrest back when I swatched it, but I love the gradient by itself as well!

Here she is!

I started with a base of two coats of Cult Nails Evil Queen, a bright red creme polish with a perfect formula.

A Throwback Among New Things Coming

Hi All!

I have some exciting news for you all today!

I finally got around to uploading my new blog format! I did it in my favorite colors and I am super happy with how it came out. I hope you all enjoy the new graphics and colors and I'll definitely be adding to it in the future to make it more user friendly. I have some new buttons I want to add and I'm hoping to get a tagging system up and working so it is easier to find the manicures and colors you are looking for.

You'll also notice there are new tabs along the top. Some of them lead to a blank page for now, but some go to other sites like the Shop tab goes to my Etsy store and the Destash tab goes to my ongoing polish sale and destash. The most exciting new element for me is the Stash tab, which will take you to a new Pinterest page I have created for keeping track of my growing polish stash. It isn't finished yet, but when it is, it will contain every polish I own organized into categories by color, finish and brand. There are quite a few lacquers up there already and there are a couple boards for inspiration as well. (Please note: If you want to follow my personal Pinterest board with things like recipes, crafts and geeky stuff, you can still click on the Pinterest button over there on the right --->)

One other addition to the blog is the Downloads tab, which for now has 5 nail art templates available for you to download and print out. I use them for planning out my nail art and after posting the template on Instagram the other night, it became clear that other people wanted them to. Ask and you shall receive!

Now on to what you're all really here for (haha) the Nail Art! Since I revamped the blog with new colors and we said goodbye to the old, I thought this mani would be appropriate. I found these photos in a folder of unposted nail art. These photos are a bit old, back from when I started blogging, but the colors just happen to match the new blog layout! Talk about old meeting new. So here we are, the blog colors gradient art!

Please excuse the lower quality of these photos, I didn't quite know what I was doing yet!

OPI - Moon Over Mumbai

Hi there everyone! I'm back from a week-long bout with the flu that left me exhausted and unable to do much of anything. The good news is that while I was sick and home from work I did a lot of computer work organizing my blog stuff and I have a new blog schedule and a very organized folder of things to post for you all!

I'm also in the process of revamping the blog to a new look and having a brand new logo and header made for me and my brand! I'm super excited and I hope you all love it as much as I love how it is all coming together!

For now, I have a really simple but beautiful swatch for you. I used this color as a base for some nail art recently and loved it so much that I just had to take photos of it alone. This is OPI Moon Over Mumbai.

I absolutely love this polish. I picked it up because it was in the clearance bin at my local beauty supply. I am consistently drawn to white and grey shades in stores, especially super light, almost grey. OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls is in my top 5 polishes ever. So I am not super surprised I ended up with this lacquer, but I wasn't expecting to fall in love with it.
