I know, I know, I said this would be up yesterday, but you know... MOVING!! I just can't keep up with everything. I'll be all in on May first and I'm DYING to do some nail art for you all. My polish is looking very sad at the moment!
Any of you who follow me on Instagram should know that I had a nail art contest a bit ago. Well one of the winners @astudyinpolish has her own polish line under the same name. So introducing A Study In Polish Nail Lacquer!
Morgan contacted me shortly after her win to ask if I would be willing to review her Final Fantasy line of lacquers. As a fellow geek I just had to oblige. :)
First up for you I have Wark!
Wark! is a yellow crelly with blue and orange glitters in it. Its super soft and pretty!
I had no formula issues with Wark! and used 3 thin coats plus topcoat to reach full opacity. This color is so perfect for spring. :)
Next up is my favorite of the bunch Kupo?
Kupo? is a white crelly polish with pink and purple glitters in it. very soft and feminine and really really nice to look at. Two words: Round Glitter!
I usually have trouble with white crelly polish. I finid it tends to drag and glop and do all sorts of unpleasant things, but Kupo? did none of those things. I reached full opacity in 3 easy coats and I loved the look of it on my nails. <3
Last up is a glitter topper that really sparkles!
Materia Girl is super sparkly multi colored glitters in a clear base. I wish I could capture how much this baby glitters in the light!
I used just one coat of Materia Girl for these photos over two coats of Cult Nails Time Traveler plus topcoat for some extra shine. :)
I loved the idea behind these (Geek themed polish? Yes please!) and the formulas were all fantastic. I'm really glad to see the indie brands stepping up to the plate with quality!
You can find A Study In Polish lacquers in their store and you can follow @astudyinpolish on Instagram for more info and swatches. :)
