I'm Back... Mostly.

Well hi there!

For most of you who follow on Instagram, this post won't be a surprise. First of all I want to say I'm sorry for disappearing without any warning. I hate when other blogs do it and I never meant for it to happen here. Secondly, I want to thank any of you who are still reading for sticking around even though I've been MIA.

Jaded Nail Co. | Unpolished Matte Collection

And I'm back!

I have another review for you today of some more Jaded Nail Co lacquers. I've been looking forward to these since Cara mentioned them to me a while back and I was not disappointed! This collection is made up of five jewel toned matte lacquers and they are stunning! Lets get right into it.

First up is the absolutely lovely Sassy Sapphire.

Sassy Sapphire is a bold royal blue lacquer loaded with flakie shimmer. It finishes with a waxy matte sheen. I absolutely love this shade. I'm a sucker for blue and this one is fabulous.

Jaded Nail Co and Polish TBH | Breast Cancer Awareness Duo

Hi there! I know I've been MIA. Super crazy busy around here, but I have a bunch of things for you in the coming days!

First up is this lovely Breast Cancer Awareness duo from Jaded Nail Co. and Polish TBH. The duo includes one glow in the dark, limited edition lacquer from each company plus Jaded Nail Co's Nourishing Nail Polish Remover in Grapefruit scent and Polish TBH's Harvest Apple Cuticle Oil. The box retails for $33 and $10 per set is donated to Breast Cancer Awareness. Shall we get started?

First up is Feel Em Up from Polish TBH.

Feel Em Up is a bright dusty pink creme loaded with glitters. I used two coats plus a thick layer of topcoat for these images. I had no formula issues, though I do suggest using a light hand with how much glitter is in it.

Nail Art | Purple on Purple

Hello!

Today I have some more nail art for you. This is a pretty special post since this is the first time in a very very very long time that I have done nail art for no reason other than for myself. Usually I'm reviewing a product or working on something for the Guild or another type of challenge, so it was nice to sit down and do something simply for the pleasure of it. Nothing too complicated about this nail art, but maybe that's what I like about it!

I knew I wanted to wear Pahlish Bespoke Psychopath, so I started with that as a base for this mani. Bespoke Psychopath is one of my favorites from the Pahlish Doctor Who collection. It is a deep purple holo with tons of glass fleck like shimmer.

Born Pretty Store | Cats In Spaaaaaace!

So I am super excited to share these with you and I KNOW at least one of you is seriously looking forward to seeing all the photos of this mani. (I'm looking at you @nessDUH - P.S. If you're not following Vanessa @nessDUH over on Instagram you are missing out and you should go correct that immediately. She's not only an awesome person but she runs THE BEST polish swaps.)

When I saw these nail art water decals on Born Pretty Store, I knew I had to have them. What could be better than tiny kitties and puppies on your nails? Well... tiny kitties in SPACE! I honestly just can't wait for you to see these. Ready?

Seeeee?! How flipping cute are those water decals?!?! I absolutely love them. From the moment I had them in my hands I knew I wanted to do a space theme behind them. With all the Cats in Space memes floating around I thought it would be a perfect backdrop.

The Nail Art Guild | Redneck

It's Redneck week here at The Nail Art Guild and I have a super fun mani for you that I really enjoyed doing. Usually I do my Guild manis the day of cause I'm so busy, but I got a chance to do them yesterday and I am so happy with how they turned out.

When I saw the prompt for the week I knew I wanted to do beer cans right off the bat, but trying to do 5 different ones was a bit daunting, so I settled on a mixture of redneck type things.

So here we have a plaid flannel print on my ring and pinkie nails, a PBR can on my middle nail, camouflage on my index and a duct tape patch on my thumb (What can I say? It broke recently and I couldn't resist.)

Nvr Enuff Polish | Pagemaster

I have a long overdue review for you all today. I've been super crazy busy at home and at work lately so the blog kinda got put on the back burner for a while. But hopefully today's post will more than make up for it! This collection is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to show it to you! Here is The Pagemaster collection from Nvr Enuff Polish.

First up is one of my favorites, Adventure.

Adventure is an almost red lacquer with tons of golden orange glass fleck goodness.

Born Pretty Store | 80's Style Glow Decals

I have some crazy nail art to share with you all today!

I was sent these great glow full nail wraps by the Born Pretty Store and I decided to do something a little different with them. Since my nails tend to be on the wider side and wraps tend to be made for more narrow nails, sometimes I have trouble with them. I decided to overcome this issue by cutting up the decals and placing them in patterns on my nails. The set I used for this manicure can be found here.

Here is my final result after cutting and placing the wraps.

I started with a good basecoat then applied the blue polkadot wraps to my pinkie, ring, index and thumb. I then took the wraps with the black and white stripes and cutting them diagonally, created the black and white striped corners on my pinkie, ring and index fingers.

Firmoo.com Review and Inspired Nail Art

I have a bit of a different review for you tonight. I was approached by a representative from Firmoo.com a while back and asked if I would like to review a pair of their glasses or sunglasses. As someone who wears prescription lenses on a daily basis, the opportunity to try a new company and get to review a new pair of glasses was too great to pass up!

So I have a pair of sunglasses to show you today and some nail art to tie it all together with the theme of my blog.

Let me start off by saying that the rep from Firmoo who contacted me was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. She walked me through the ordering process briefly and then told me if I had any questions to let her know. When I was ordering I noticed that they had a sunglasses option, and since I have been looking for a new pair I thought that was the best option for me. The rep helped me make sure the ordering process went very smoothly and soon I had an e-mail letting me know my order was complete!

I got updates of what was happening with my glasses while I waited. They let me know when they were being processed and then when they shipped out. Overall I would say the wait time was pretty fair for a pair of custom lenses and frames. When I got the package and opened it there was this adorable hard case.

Inside were my glasses! SQUEE!! They are SO stinkin cute!

I chose a pair of plastic frames that are a magenta pink on the top and then fade into a tortoiseshell pattern on the bottom. They're just perfect for me.

Nvr Enuff Polish | Nick of Time

I know it has been a while! My day job is moving and we've been crazy busy packing everything up and going through old folders and drawers and what not, so my free time has been greatly diminished.

Today though, I have for you, another collection from my besties over at Nvr Enuff Polish! This three lacquer collection is inspired by Nick at Nite and is called the Nick of Time collection. Shall we get started?

First up is my favorite of the three, Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Are You Afraid of the Dark? is a bright candy apple red jelly base overflowing with red and gold metallic glitters and a holo shimmer.

Born Pretty Store | Gunmetal Spikes

I am so so happy with the nail art I have for you today!

This post has been a long time coming. I have wanted spikes to do a manicure for so long, but then when I finally got them in the mail I had NO IDEAS! I really didn't know how to use them in a manicure! So I've been thinking for a while and I finally came up with a design that I think worked out really well.

The spikes that I used for this nail art are from Born Pretty Store and are much smaller than any that I've seen before. I really love how small they are cause they seem more practical for a manicure that way... well... as practical as spikes on your nails can be! haha!

How about we see some photos?

EEEEEEK! I love them more every time I see them!

I started with a base of the absolutely gorgeous Dior Marilyn, a red jelly with such a subtle silver shimmer that you almost don't know its there.

China Glaze | Pop Top and a Nail Art Contest!

Hello there!

I am so happy to share today's blog post with you. For as long as I have been obsessing over nail polish, my favorite major brand has been China Glaze. Their collections are creative and their summer neon shades are always to die for. My first full collection lemming and hunt was for their 2012 Summer Neons.

Well today I have for you my first official China Glaze review. I have the new Pop Top collection that just hit the shelves for August consisting of six glitter toppers and two classic shades. I believe most of these if not all have been released before, but as part of other collections. I want to jump right in with my favorite of the six glitters.

Here is Your Present Required.

Your Present Required is a clear base packed with multicolor hex glitter in different sizes including large matte white and teeny tiny matte white and everything in between.

Nvr Enuff Polish | The Light Collection

OMGosh! I am SO sorry that I've been gone so long. Its been a long couple weeks and I unfortunately had to put some things on hold for a bit. I'm back now though, and I have a review for you that I am uber excited about!

One of the most amazing people I know, Alix @teoqeg from Instagram and her girl Lynnae @misslynnae have recently joined the indie polish world and created the amazing brand Nvr Enuff Polish or NEP for short. They currently have two gorgeous collections out and lucky for you, I have both of them to review!

Today I want to share with you the first NEP collection. All the colors names are in French and the colors are inspired by the light at different times during the day. While working with these lacquers I noticed a few things about them all. They are super shiny, unique and very long-wearing. I love the tall square bottles and the wide flat brushes. The hand stamped labels are unique and fun and really perfect for this brand. So without further rambling by myself... Introducing Nvr Enuff Polish and The Light Collection.

I'll start at the dawn with Lever du Soleil. (Sunrise)

Lever du Soleil is a "flaky rose gold topper... based on the pink/gold of the morning light." (quote from NEP)

Happy Birthday Alix Part 2 | Alix and the Blue Crayon

Aaaaaand I'm back for part two!

This half of today's very special blog post is my own nail art in honor of my very best of friends Alix. If you have Instagram and you don't already follow her, go ahead and check her out at @teoqeg!

I had to think long and hard about today's nail art. I thought long and hard enough that I didn't even get it done until tonight. I had a difficult time deciding on something that would really honor what an amazing person and friend Alix has been to me. Everything I drew seemed stupid and boring, or just not enough. Everything was missing something.

I finally decided to just start scrolling back through her feed and suddenly I knew exectly what I wanted to do. You see Alix has this tattoo of Harold and the Purple Crayon on her arm. It wasn't there when we met and I remember when she got it and I've loved it ever since. I even bought one of my favorite polishes off of her to help fund it. So it seems special. Well the mani today is inspired by the tattoo and the book it came from. I hope you like it Alix. I love you to death. Happy Birthday!

I started this mani off with two coats of OPI Alpine Snow, my favorite white creme, then I topped it with one thin coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast topcoat and let it mostly dry.

Happy Birthday Alix Part 1 | Ashley's Nails

I have a super special sorta guest post for you today! This is part one in a two part post today for my very best friend Alix's birthday. Alix moved across the country to California last week, so I won't be able to be there to celebrate with her, but my girlfriend AJ and I wanted to do something special for her. When @misslynnae on Instagram texted me and asked us to do some blue star nails I was all over it! Usually my girlfriend is not the nail polish type. Sure, she knows some of the colors from my talking about them constantly and she's picked up some of our polish lingo, but she doesn't really wear it.

Well that is going to change today! Since Alix is so special to both of us, AJ offered up her nails to my nail art skillz haha! So here we go!

I started out with a base of Illamasqua Phallic (AJ: "You want me to wear something called Phallic?" Yup haha)

Neon Tribal Nail Art

Purchased By Me

Happy Tuesday!

I have some fun summer nail art for you all today and a very rare sighting of my Cinderella hand! I was pulling rainbow neons out of my Melmer to use on my toes in an ombre, and I started to think that maybe I wanted the colors on my fingers too. I kept looking at them and decided to go for it!

After applying the neon colors I added a black and white tribal design and here is the result!

What do you think?! I am soooooo happy with how they came out!

The Nail Art Guild | Patriotic

Happy Fourth to those of you in the States! To the rest of you, happy Friday!

Today I had the holiday off, so I had plenty of time to put together these 4th of July nails for The Nail Art Guild's Patriotic theme. I had a few designs bouncing around in my head but I went with a loose translation of the American flag.

I started with a base of Stardust Polish Retro Ruby on my thumb, index and middle fingers and Kinda Jazzy on my ring and pinkie.

Hi there lovelies! How are you all today? It is super hot and humid here today so I am staying in the air conditioned office as much as I can. I have some really simple nail art for you in this post and a new to me polish that I got from a friend's destash sale.

I started with a base of Emily de Molly Dark Crystal.

Dark Crystal is a deep black jelly stuffed chock full of holographic micro shimmer. It does on super smooth and squishy!

I am late this week!

I meant to have this up yesterday, but better late than never right?

I have for you the third collection from Gamer Gloss. This is probably my favorite inspiration yet. This collection is inspired by the game Mario Kart. Well Mario Kart was and is to this day one of my favorites. So of course I had to pull out my N64 and pose with some Mario-ware! Lets get on to the colors!

First up is The Other Brother

The Other Brother is inspired by the character Luigi and is a white crelly lacquer with small green and blue square glitters throughout.

The Nail Art Guild | The Sea

Purchased By Me

Hi loves!

I have a special treat for you today. You see, some friends and I have formed a new nail art group called The Nail Art Guild.

We are going to be posting themed manicures and nail art every other Friday starting today! After we post for that week we will post the new theme for the next and so on and so forth. Anyone can join in on the fun, we're already had quite a few people join in on posting for our first theme, The Sea.

This theme was chosen by one of our members, Kiki who is @polishmad on Instagram. (If you have Instagram, do yourself a favor and go follow her, trust me.) You can also check out my Instagram and the one for The Guild at @stormandstars and @thenailartguild for more info and I'll be reposting some of my favorite nail arts each week.

For this theme I wanted to do something a little abstract and make my nails look almost like the sea itself. The inspiration for this technique was some rainbow and watermarbled nails I did way back when. What do you think?

I absolutely love how they came out! They look like swirling waters. <3

First up is Explosions.

Explosions is a mix of neon and bright colored glitters in a clear base. The glitters are mostly hexes, but there are some squares and some neon green hearts as well.

Cult Nails | Spring Radiance and Sweet Baby By Donna

After an unexpected week off due to my being sick I'm back with the newest collection from a favorite brand favorite of mine, Cult Nails. Maria from Cult Nails has some great ideas when it comes to polish and her latest venture is teaming up with other small brands to bring you samples and coupon codes with your preorders. This month, in addition to the Spring Radiance Collection, I received cuticle oil samples from Sweet Baby by Donna to try out. If you know me and have been reading my blog, you'll know I already use and love Donna's products, but now I have a sample of each of her fragrances, which is really great!

First I'm going to show you the polish and then I'll get to the cuticle oils.

First up for polish is the beautiful, Radiance.

Gah! How rich and gorgeous is this shade??

Doctor Lacquer | Kaleidoscope World

You wanna see excited?! I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS DOCTOR LACQUER COLLECTION!!!

Haha! When Angelyn started sending me sneak peeks of the Kaleidoscope World collection I was already hooked. Neon? Check! Jelly? Check! Holo? Check!  What more could a neon/jelly/holo obsessed nail girl ask for? These lacquers really don't need a lot of words, the photos do most of the work for me, but be forewarned there are a lot of photos. I've put most of them behind a link so click the "Read More" at your own risk!

Most of these had the same formula. They were on the thinner side, but suuuuuper easy to work with. I personally loved the formula. Like most neons these dry to a satiny finish, so topcoat is a must to really make them shine the way they should. The dry time is crazy fast on all the neons in this collection. For all the swatches below I used one coat of Seche Vite topcoat to finish off the mani.

First up is one of my favorites from this collection, a bright bubblegum pink neon, Annato.

Beautiful pink neon holo wonderfulness!! ♥ ♥ ♥

There are also 4 blogger created glitter toppers including one made specifically for me! <3

I'm going to show you the bases first and then move on to the toppings.

How do you start a meal? Well you could have an Ice Cold Brewski!

Ice Cold Brewski is a deep yellow jelly just about the color of an IPA.

Jolie Polish | The Crellies

This post is so late!

I've been swamped this week and this post should have been up Monday but I forgot it was a holiday and I thought I had an extra day, which then threw me off more days. Whew! But I'm back on track now and I have for you some lovely crellies from the always wonderful Bory of Jolie Polish. If you remember, White Crelly from Jolie Polish is my favorite jelly/crelly white and I use it under just about every white based glitter I swatch. I love it so much that I have three bottles, just in case.

This post is all about the color crellies that Bory has created. These lacquers all have the same formula (fantastic) and take about 2-3 coats depending on your application to reach a wearable opacity. Shall we go on to the polish?

First up today is Hey Pink Hotty.

Hey Pink Hotty is one of my favorites of the crellies I'm showing today. It is a light almost bubblegum pink and is just so soft and feminine and squishy on the nail.

Messy Jessi | Popped Art Collection

It's almost Friday! I can't wait, I feel like this week has gone on forever! I'm so happy to have a three day weekend!

Right now though, I have for you all a beautiful collection from Jessica over at Messy Jessi! I love the Messy Jessi brand and the polishes Jessica always comes up with so I am so happy to see her back at making lacquer and releasing collections. This collection is four crelly based lacquers and is called the Popped Art collection. Do they remind you of anything? I think this is just one of the coolest ideas for a polish collection!

Lets jump right into the swatches!

First up is Blueberry Pop.

How cute is this? Blueberry Pop is a white crelly base loaded with tons of green, blue, red and yellow glitters in different shapes and sizes. It is so bright and cheerful!

Hello again hello again!

Whats this? A semi-regular posting schedule? I may be getting the hang of this after all!

I have a some lacquers today for you from one of my favorite brands when it comes to unique colors and combos. These three lacquers are from the Jaded Nail Co. It Came From Outer Space collection. Two of them are glow in the dark thermals and the third is a jelly loaded with glitter.

I'm going to start with the two glow thermals. First up is the polish I was most looking forward to in this collection, Little Green Men.

Liquid Sky Lacquer | Spring Garden Collection

Hi All!

I have a fantastic collection for you all today! I always love doing a review for Carolyn over at Liquid Sky Lacquer because her polish is always beautiful and the formulas are always superb. This collection is no exception to that rule. The Spring Garden Collection consists of five matte finish pastel shimmer lacquers. I am IN LOVE with every one of them. They dry to a gorgeous matte finish naturally and you can add a topcoat for some shine and to give them a bit of a different look.

I want to say I'm going to show you one of my favorites first, but I really love them all so I'll just say here is the blue lacquer, Morning Glory.

Morning Glory is a beautiful bright baby blue shimmer with a perfectly smooth frosty matte finish when dry.

Born Pretty Store | Cat Water Decals

Hi again! I have a second post for you all today! It took me forever to come up with a manicure for these after my first idea fell through, but I am really happy with how they turned out. I got these nail art water decals from the Born Pretty Store to review and I wanted everything to be just purrfect for them! (See what I did there?)

These decals are super easy to work with and really anyone can use them. I actually remember having water decals when I was a kid that my mother had leftover from when she was in high school! I loved them then and still do now. There are a lot of different options on the Born Pretty Store for decals, but the ones I am working with today are cats and can be found HERE.

I'm guessing you want to see? Here we go!

I started with a base of China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes. I added Seche Vite topcoat and let them dry. After they dried I chose and cut out the water decals I wanted to use from this set. (#DG-008) and one by one I submerged each in warm water until they slid easily off the paper. I wet the nail with water and then placed the decal where I wanted it. Once it was placed I used a paper towel to dab the nail dry.

Cinema Swatch Lacquer | Geisha Collection Pt. 2

Sorry for such a wait on this one!

This is the second half of the Geisha Collection from Cinema Swatch Lacquer. This collection consists of six colors, the other half of which I posted about at this link. I had some nail breakage between swatching so I split up the collection and the rest of it will be posted here today. Please excuse the length of my nails changing as I did these over a couple weeks and my nails grew quite a bit!

First up is Sweet Ice.

Loaded Lacquer | Pt. 2

Hi all you lacquer fans!

Today I have the second half of the Loaded Lacquer review for you. I made my first Loaded Lacquer purchase because of the Jiggles Collection and I threw a few glitters in there for good measure. Heather was nice enough to add in a few extras for me to review, so I decided to just review the whole lot of them! I posted the first half over here and today I'm going to show you the rest of them. At this point I can't remember which ones I purchased and which she sent extra, but they're all gorgeous and I can't wait to show them to you.

Lets just get straight in to the photos shall we? I'm going to start with one of my very favorites, here is Apparition.

Nayll | Custom Nail Lacquer

I am so so so so so very excited about this post!

When I was approached by Sara of Nayll to do an all custom lacquer post I was on board right away. Nayll is a unique brand in that it runs mostly on custom lacquers created by the buyer. You choose the colors, the glitters and the other mix ins. You name the lacquer. You decide what you want it to look like.

When I started on the Nayll site I found it uber easy to use and I had about 20 lacquers in my cart within what seemed like minutes. Oops. We all know that feeling. Since Sara was nice enough to let me choose 6 lacquers to share with you, she said 3 needed to be custom and the rest could either be custom or their pre-mixed shades. Well... I could barely narrow down the customs so I just went all custom. Of course, I needed a theme. I know I just posted some Doctor Who shades, but well, I'm a tad obsessive and these are MY take on some Doctor Who lacquers.

I have one glitter topper in a clear base, one shimmer lacquer and four glitters in colored jelly bases for you today. I also have Nayll's Holy Holo Topcoat and their Smooth It Out - Glitter Topcoat to review for you. Choosing what to post first is probably the hardest part of this review. But lets go with one of my favorites, one of the colored jellies.

Here is Starry Starry Storm.

CDB Lacquer | Doctor Who Part 2

Hi There!

Today I have for you all the second half of the Doctor Who collection from CDB Lacquer. Most of you probably know by now that I am a Doctor Who super fan and I love everything Who related. We visited the First Part of the collection with Doctor Lacquer Part 1 and today I have the remaining four lacquers. The Part 1 collex was a group of four glitter toppers in a clear base. The shades today are all opaque shimmery polishes with some added glitter here and there.

The first and my favorite from the collection is Cosmic Pull.

Loaded Lacquer | Pt. 1

I've been waiting to post this for a while and I am excited about this one!

When I ordered a good number of Loaded Lacquers that I had been wanting, Heather was nice enough to include some others for me to swatch. Well of course I had to swatch them all!! I got about halfway through when I got swamped with pillow orders and while I was working on those I had a nail break :( So I am showing you the first half of what I have today and I will post the others sometime next week!

Are you ready to get started? Up first is the beautiful Pomegranate.

Gamer Gloss | Minecraft Collection

Today I have a lovely collection for you from Gamer Gloss!

This collection is inspired by Minecraft and is a mix of glitter filled jelly finish lacquers. There are three glitters with a colored jelly finish and one scattered holographic topcoat with added square glitter. Most of them were quite sheer, so I layered them over some like-colors to show them off.

The first lacquer in this collection is Keep Calm, Creep On.

Cult Nails | It's A New Day

Two days in a row?! Whoa!

I am SO EXCITED about this collection!! I saw some sneak peeks of it a couple weeks ago and could not wait to get my blogger package in the mail. When I heard that it came with the stamping plate I was even more excited (why, I don't know, I am terrible at stamping haha!)

I am talking, of course, about the April release from Cult Nails, It's A New Day. This collection consists of three dreamy, creamy shades in bright pastel colors, perfect for spring. They are available for preorder now and may be available later individually if there are any left.

First up is Falling Hard.

Ahhhhhhhh! How perfect is this pink!? I am in love for sure.

Cinema Swatch Lacquers | Geisha Collection Pt. 1

Hi All!

Things have been so super crazy here and I was sick.. again... BUT while I was stuck home sick I got 23 polishes swatched, so I have LOTS to share with you!

Starting off I want to share the first half of the Geisha Collection from Cinema Swatch Lacquers. I know I usually share full collections, but I had a bad nail break in the middle of swatching a couple collections, so different nail shapes. I thought visually it would work better if I split it up. I have three lacquers from this collection for you today. All three are a jelly or crelly base with glitters added.

First up is the brightest of the three, here is Mameha.

Purple Butterflies for Donna | Lupus Awareness

Today I have a very special post for you all.

Recently, a very dear friend of mine found out she has Lupus. Many of you may know her as Donna of @workinggirlnails on Instagram. While Lupus is surely treatable, the last few weeks have not been easy for Donna as she adjusts to the changes in her life and running between doctors appointments. On Thursday, Donna suggested I do some purple butterfly nails with her for Lupus Awareness and I agreed of course! I wasn't sure when I would get to do them, but I knew I wanted to. Yesterday, I got a text from Donna that she was in the ER and not feeling very well. I knew I wanted to push out this design quickly and maybe put a smile on her face sooner rather than later.

I don't know a lot about Lupus, but I'm willing to learn so I can understand what my friend is going through. Donna is one of the most caring, generous people I know and any little thing I can do to give back to her will be done even if it is just some nail art and lending an ear. Donna, you are a light and a positive force and I love you so much. I hope you love these butterflies, they are all for you.

I'm not going to say much about the design today, lets just enjoy the photos shall we?

Doctor Lacquer | CoHOLOrful Traits

I have a super exciting post for you todau and I have to get it up very quickly because these lacquers go up in a half hour from me typing this! WOW! I'm running a little behind due to some snags in my schedule, but lets get to it!

Doctor Lacquer is one of my favorite brands for thermal polish and now Angelyn is venturing into the world of Holo as well. Lets just say I'm not disappointed ;) These shades all had just about the same formula, were 2-3 easy coats each and needed topcoat to be super shiny. The photos really speak for themselves though. Wanna see? Thought so!

First up is my favorite of this collection, here is Malicious Pleasure!

Cult Nails | Casual Elegance and Nail Vinyls!

I am so excited to share this collection with you and at the same time I am so sorry they took so long. I didn't know they were coming, and when they got here I was swamped with other things. Anywho...

I have the 2nd 2014 collection from Cult Nails for you today. This collection is a trio of perfectly purple polishes (sorry, had to.) I love all three of these shades and the formulas are perfection as usual coming from Cult Nails. I did have some trouble photographing these, because as we all know, purple does not like to be photographed, but I believe I have as close of a representation as I can get to accurate for you all.

It seems this collection hasn't only struck a cord with me, but also with a lot of other nail gals as the preorder completely sold out in only a few days. Hopefully after the pre-sale there will be some of these beauties available for purchase separately if you haven't already gotten them. If they do become available individually I highly recommend you pick them up if you did not pre-order.

Introducing the Cult Nails Casual Elegance Collection.

First up is Intriguing, a soft holo lacquer.

CDB Lacquer | Doctor Who Pt. 1

Woohoo! I'm back today with a really exciting collection for you! Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge geek and I have an affinity for British TV. Put that together and you get a major Doctor Who Fan aka Whovian. So when Cheyenne of CDB Lacquer told me she wanted to send minis of her new Doctor Who collection to me of course I said YES!

This collection consists of four glitter toppers with names inspired by the tv show Doctor Who. I am happy to say they're all unique in my collection and a lot of fun.

First up I have a brightly colored number for you. This is Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey.

I love the color combo on this topper and the stars add just the right amount of interest to the tiny hexes. You all know I love anything with stars!

New Brand Alert! | Gamer Gloss

Hi there!

I know I know, it has been a while, but bear with me, because I am almost caught up in my shop, which means more time for nails!

Today I have a brand new indie polish brand to share with you. Brianna from Gamer Gloss started as a customer and then asked if I would be willing to swatch and review her premier collection of gamer themed polishes. As a self-proclaimed geek of course I said YES!

I have to admit that I may have to turn in my geek card for this one though, the collection is based on Foxhound, and I had no idea what that was when I got the collection. I have since read a quick wiki so I know it is part of Metal Gear and that the colors are mostly named after characters in a black ops unit. I love the geeky side of beauty!

There are seven colors in this collection, one thermal, one glow, four glitters with colored bases and one glitter topper. Lets start with the glow.

This baby is Psycho Mantis.

I have to stop right here and admit. I was not excited about this color in the bottle. I'm not really a yellow lover and this had kinda a mustardy tone to it. BUT once I got it on my nails I really actually fell in love. The color got much warmer on my nails because it is a bit sheer and my skin showed through a bit. The color was almost a perfect match to my beloved Boston Bruins (who were playing while I swatched this and won... good luck maybe?)

Whats Tha? Narl Art? Matte vs. Shiny!

I'm trying to fit in some posts while I catch up on orders in my shop, but I am a little all over the place so SORRY!! After this month I should be back on a normal schedule and I plan on posting 3 days a week, they may vary some weeks, but should be pretty consistent. I also have some exciting things coming for you! I'm working with some other IGers to start weekly nail art challenge and I'll definitely have more art in general coming your way! I updated my new header and I even have an official logo now. You can see it up in the header, its the twister on the left side. I also have a new nail shape to reveal. If you follow me in Instagram I already showed a sneak peek of it a couple nights ago.

Today's art was inspired by a polish. When I put on Bliss Polish's Jax I knew I needed to do some sort of Matte vs. Shiny nail art with it and I actually did this manicure back when I reviewed Jax, but I never posted it.  So you'll see square nails here, but they are from a while back. Shall we see the art?

I started this manicure with two super perfect coats of Bliss Polish Jax. This polish is seriously like butter. It practically paints itself. I am completely in love.
