Hi again! I have a second post for you all today! It took me forever to come up with a manicure for these after my first idea fell through, but I am really happy with how they turned out. I got these nail art water decals from the Born Pretty Store to review and I wanted everything to be just purrfect for them! (See what I did there?)
These decals are super easy to work with and really anyone can use them. I actually remember having water decals when I was a kid that my mother had leftover from when she was in high school! I loved them then and still do now. There are a lot of different options on the Born Pretty Store for decals, but the ones I am working with today are cats and can be found HERE.
I'm guessing you want to see? Here we go!
I started with a base of China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes. I added Seche Vite topcoat and let them dry. After they dried I chose and cut out the water decals I wanted to use from this set. (#DG-008) and one by one I submerged each in warm water until they slid easily off the paper. I wet the nail with water and then placed the decal where I wanted it. Once it was placed I used a paper towel to dab the nail dry.
I used my dotting tools and Serum No 5 Day Glow to make the paw prints on my pointer and pinkie, and then I used my black and white striper to add a kitty to my thumb. I used Cult Nails Falling Hard for the pink in the ears.
After everything was dry I added another coat of Seche Vite to seal everything in and make it shine.
I really love how this came out looking and I will definitely be using the kitty decals again. But I have one more surprise for you...
THEY GLOW! I know you were wondering why I used Day Glow. I wanted it to look like the glow in the dark kitties left glow in the dark footprints on my nails. I love love love how this looks in the dark!
When they first are charged they are super bright and they stay that way for quite some time. :)
The glowing kinda makes me wish I had done a galaxy backdrop for these cuties. I'll have to try that another time.
You can get these decals and other nail art needs at Born Pretty Store. They have fantastic prices and free shipping worldwide! You can also use code AGBQ10 to get 10% off your entire order!
What do you think? Have you used water decals before? Would you use them again? I am very happy with the quality of these and will definitely be ordering more from Born Pretty Store!
*Nail Art decals were provided for review, all other polish was purchased by me or given as a gift from a friend.*
