Hi There all!
I'm back with a second post for today. This one is a couple swatches. If you follow me on Instagram @stormandstars you got a sneak peek of this a few nights ago when I posted it there.
Love, Angeline is a pretty new brand on the scene, but her polish is beautiful! When Natosha, the brand's owner contacted me for a review I was more than happy to come on board!
I have two from her brand new Smoke & Mirrors collection to share with you today.
First up is Lovely Assistant.
Lovely Assistant is a white crelly base with gray, teal and purple satiny hexes in it. It is really soft and feminine without being too pinky and girly.
The formula for Lovely Assistant was good. It was on the sheer side, but most cruelly polishes are. I used three coats plus topcoat. I think when I wear this again I'll use a white base as it did end up rather thick on my nails. I topped the whole thing off with one coat of Seche Vite for a smooth finish.
I definitely recommend this shade if you like soft colors. The purple and teal combo is one of my favorites. :)
The other color I have today is called Magic Cape.
Magic Cape is a sheer gray jelly polish with silver and pink glitters throughout.
There is TONS of glitter in this, and I had no problems with getting it evenly on my nails. The polish is quite sheer, and due to the length of my nails I did need 4 thin coats to reach this opacity, though if I was wearing it and not swatching it I would have only done 3. This one does require a couple coats of topcoat to be smooth.
I really liked this color on my skin tone and again, gray and pink is another of my favorite color combos! Natosha, did you read my mind??
Love, Angeline Polish is available online at their shop. You can follow them on Facebook and Instagram @loveangelinepolish for more colors and news about collections and the brand.
The Smoke & Mirrors collection officially launches on August 21st, so put it on your calendar!
