Alice In Wonderland - The Cheshire Cat

I am so excited to share this nail art with you today. When I was wearing Come What May but Cinema Swatch Lacquers, I kept thinking how perfect the color would be for the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, and since I've been meaning to do a manicure inspired by the one Coewless did a while back, I figured now was as good a time as any!

I got to work creating a design and here is what I came up with!

 

The light shimmery purple is Cinema Swatch Lacquers Come What May and the darker pink stripes and on the face is Cult Nails Morning Glory. I did an accent nail of Orly Miss Conduct on my pinkie for some sparkle. :) 

 

I used some striping tape on my thumb, pointer and ring fingers to make the stripes, then painted over them with Morning Glory and peeled the tape off to create the pattern.

 

On my middle finger I used, Cult Nails Feel Me Up for the yellow eyes, Lime Crime Parfait Day for the light pink on the mouth, Milani Black Swift and a white striper. I used a tiny nail art brush to make all the details.

 

I'm really happy with how these came out, though I do with I could have found my black striper for the lines, as they would have been a little more crisp and clean that way.

 

Come What May and Morning Glory were the perfect Cheshire Car colors and I really think that Miss Conduct makes a great addition to them.

 

Maybe I'll have to do another Alice character next! What is your favorite Alice in Wonderland character?
