Happy Birthday Cupcake Glitter Daze!

Hi Storm Chasers!

I have a wonderful Limited Edition polish for you today by Glitter Daze!

Sana from Glitter Daze contacted me a couple weeks ago to asked if I'd like to participate in swatching their Limited Edition Birthday polish! This polish, appropriately named Birthday Cupcake will only be available from Today, Feb 7th until March 7th. That's it.

Birthday Cupcake is a soft, girly shade that I think a lot of you will really enjoy. Here is the description from the Glitter Daze site:

Birthday Cupcake is a very special Limited Edition polish that was created to mark the occasion of our first birthday! It is a milky white based polish loaded with iridescent shimmer and glitter as well as multisized light pink satin glitter, holographic violet shards, and holographic silver stars. Very soft, feminine, and perfect for spring; this polish is a celebration in a bottle! Layer one coat over any base color to add some pop to your manicure, or layer three coats of Birthday Cupcake on its own to reach opacity!

I really enjoyed swatching this one, and I'm sure you all want photos, so here you go!

Isn't it pretty? Keep reading for more photos and information about my swatches!

To swatch Birthday Cupcake I started out with two coats of Cult Nails Tempest, which is an opaque white. Then I added two thin coats of Birthday Cupcake. I found the formula to be nice, not goopy like some milky bases can be, and there was plenty of each type of glitter.

The base in this is loaded with shimmery glitter, I think the white underneath made iot wash out, so I would suggest something not quite as stark underneath, but you can see the glittery goodness a little in the below photo.

I had a bit of a hard time getting the star glitter out of the bottle, but thats pretty normal for those types of glitter and I think a lot of it is the mini bottle. I turned the bottle upside down for about 30 minutes and tried again and had much better results with the stars. I think I'll probably store this one upside down from now on.

I think this would look really nice layered over any light creamy shade to give it a punch!

You can find Birthday Cupcake at the Glitter Daze Website where you will earn rewards points for every purchase. Or you can find it at their International retailers www.meimeissignatures.com (shipping worldwide except Italy) or www.ledouxnuage.com (France based, ships to most of Europe).

This Limited Edition polish will retail at $11 for a full size bottle and $6 for the mini.
